Each film-coated tablet contains: Xet 20: Paroxetine (as Hydrochloride) 20 mg.
Paroxetine is a potent and selective inhibitor of 5 HT reuptake in vitro. It retains this profile after oral administration to animals, and its metabolites do not appear to contribute to the pharmacological properties of the parent compound. The results of assessment of the general pharmacological properties of Paroxetine indicate that it should be well tolerated and, in particular, lack the adverse effects associated with the tricyclic class of antidepressants.
